Hamza El Fasiki is a Scopus listed author. He wrote two books and other academic works. His recent book chapter publication is “Social Entrepreneurship in Morocco: A View on the Cultural Factor” (Springer, 2015).
He received his MA in Moroccan Cultural Studies with a research focus on Moroccan crafts and entrepreneurship from Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University in Fes, Morocco.
A Fes native, he apprenticed under his father learning Moroccan geometric patterns, brass Engraving and bookbinding.
Hamza traveled, learning and teaching Moroccan culture, around 16 countries: Morocco, United States, Algeria, Turkey, Japan, Greece, United Arab Emirates, Germany, England, Malaysia, Philippines, Egypt, Cyprus, Tunisia, Australia and Wales.
Currently he is writing a book chapter on Moroccan geometric arts as part of a course book for Temple University in Philadelphia.
He is the founder of CRAFT DRAFT where he instructs and lectures, since 2013, on three Moroccan crafts: Moroccan Geometric Patterns, Moroccan Brass Engraving and Moroccan Leather Bookbinding.
He is also a teaching fellow of Moroccan geometric arts for students of design and architecture at the Université Euro-Méditerranéenne de Fès-UEM.
He is based between Fes/Morocco and Portsmouth/England.
