After nearly 15 years of training in the art of geometric patterns under his father, Master Mokhtar El Fasiki, alongside several master artisans of the Fes medina, Hamza El Fasiki opens a new chapter in his journey. Over the past six years, he has devoted himself to the study of *at-Tastir*—traditional Moroccan geometric patterns—deepening his understanding of geometry and the spirit of this ancestral craft.
In recognition of this path, Hamza has been awarded an Ijazah in *at-Tastir*, marking a pivotal step in his development as both an artisan and educator. In his work, he created a geometric composition combining a rectangular and an arched frame of a 12/9 Fold, demonstrating his mastery in structuring and harmonizing intricate patterns across different forms.
This Ijazah was beautifully written by calligrapher Ali Dahia and signed by Master Mokhtar El Fasiki and Master Driss Sakhi, affirming this achievement.
We warmly invite you to join us for this special occasion, where writer and master Khalid Essayeb will share his reflections on the work. The event will also offer an opportunity to explore the exhibited drawings, enjoy Andalusian music, and share traditional tea and sweets.
Your presence will truly honor us
